Applications and accounts

How long does it take for an application to be processed?

Every application is read by an administrator, usually within 1–2 days. If you are approved you will receive an email with a link to sign in, using the password you chose when you applied. Applicants who are not approved are not emailed, so if you haven't heard anything after 2 days, contact us.

I'm a student. How do I eventually get a fellow (researcher) profile?

There is no automatic upgrade. Once you move into a faculty or postdoctoral role, contact us and an administrator will change your membership type. Your profile, papers and posts stay as they are.

Discussion papers

How long does it take for a paper to be processed?

A submitted paper is held until an administrator approves it, usually within 1–2 days. Once approved it is published, assigned the next discussion paper number, and given the Labor Hub cover page automatically.

Can I revise a discussion paper after it has been processed?

Yes. Open your paper and click Edit. Changes, including a new PDF, appear right away, and the paper keeps its discussion paper number.

Announcements: events, jobs and visits

How long does it take for an announcement to be displayed?

Workshops, conferences, jobs and long-distance visits are all reviewed by an administrator before they appear, usually within 1–2 days. They go live as soon as they are approved.
