Paul Muller is an Associate Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is affiliated with Tinbergen Institute, IZA, and CEPR. He works in empirical labor economics and applied microeconomics, using field experiments and administrative data. His research examines occupational information and behavioral biases in job search, alongside the direct and equilibrium effects of job search assistance. He also studies labor supply responses to family policies, disability insurance, and the effects of taxation on migration. His current agenda includes occupational transitions, gender gaps in wage bargaining, and labor market scarcity, supported by an NWO Vidi grant.
