Biography
PhD Candidate in Economics · Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) · On the 2026–27 job market
I am an applied microeconomist studying how economic shocks and changes in economic opportunities affect labor markets, crime, and entrepreneurship, with applications in Europe and Latin America. My job market paper uses Swedish administrative data and a mining boom to show that improved labor market opportunities reduced property crime among young men but increased substance-related offenses. My work combines causal inference methods, including difference-in-differences, event studies, instrumental variables, and causal forests, with large administrative datasets.
